2016 - 2017

We agree upon the following roles and responsibilities that we as partners will carry out to support student success in school and life:

I agree to carry out the following responsibilities to the best of my ability:
  • Provide rigorous curriculum and instruction.
  • Endeavor to motivate my students to learn.
  • Maintain high expectations and help every child develop a love of learning.
  • Communicate regularly with families about student progress, including keeping accurate records. In addition, in grades 6-8 update ABI-Homelink regularly.
  • Provide a warm, safe, and caring learning environment.
  • Provide meaningful homework assignments to reinforce and/or extend learning.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to improve teaching and learning.
  • Support the formation of partnerships with families and community.
  • Respect school, students, staff, and families.

I agree to carry out the following responsibilities to the best of my ability:
  • Come to school ready to learn and work hard.
  • Bring necessary materials.
  • Complete assignments and homework.
  • Know and follow school and class rules: be safe, be respectful, and be responsible.
  • Ask for help when I need it.
  • Communicate regularly with my parents and teachers about school experiences.
  • Study and read every day after school.
  • Use technology and social media respectfully and appropriately.
  • Wear the school uniform and adhere to the dress code.
  • Respect the school, classmates, staff, and families.

We agree to carry out the following responsibilities to the best of our ability:
  • Provide a quiet time and place for homework and monitor TV viewing, computer/social media and cell phone use.
  • Read to my child or encourage my child to read every day.
  • Communicate with the teacher or the school when I have a compliment or concern.
  • Provide appropriate school materials.
  • Ensure that my child attends school every day on time, gets adequate sleep, regular medical attention, and proper nutrition.
  • Regularly monitor my child’s progress in school, including checking Homelink, if applicable, or teacher websites.
  • Participate at school activities such as School Site Council, PTO, volunteering, and/or attending parent-teacher conferences.
  • Communicate the importance of education and learning to my child.
  • Ensure that my child wears the school uniform and adheres to the dress code.
  • Respect the school, staff, students, and families.
