Harvest Festival 2012
What Do We Do?
Parents are an important part of the programs and activities at Stonegate Elementary. The PTO is an organization of parents and school staff who work together to support students. Over the last several years, the PTO has sponsored a variety of student activities, such as the Harvest Festival, Field Day, Jog-a-thon, school assemblies, and class field trips. We've purchased books for the library, equipment for classrooms and the playground, picnic tables and umbrellas, and a shade structure. We host the annual staff appreciation luncheon. New funding goals include purchasing more picnic tables and raising funds for new computer equipment for our students. We invite every parent to be an active participant in our organization.
Stonegate sports teams have new jerseys thanks to a contribution from the PTO.
Many businesses offer discounts and/or donations when customers mention Stonegate Elementary when they make a purchase. Business partners include:
Boxtop Collection Program
Nugget Markets Scrip Card
Raley's Quality of Life Card
Target’s Take Charge of Education® program (REDcard)
Cards for Nugget, Raley's and Jamba Juice and applications for the Target Red Card can be picked up in the Stonegate School office. Look for the display on the bookshelf.

First Annual Spaghetti Dinner, Spring 2012
A huge THANK YOU to all the friends and families who joined us for our Spaghetti Dinner on March 2nd. More than 200 students, parents, and staff enjoyed homemade spaghetti, live music from the River City High Jazz Band, the excitement of winning door prizes and making new friends.
This event would not have been possible without the generous support of our volunteers and community businesses. Our community donations came from Nugget Market, Lowe’s, Wicked West Pizza & BBQ, Big Kahuna Yogurt, Safeway and Costco. Their generosity helped to keep our expenses down so we could raise over $500 for our school.
Additional thanks must go to our Event Coordinator, Robin Courtright, and our Chef, Catherine Mills. Nice job Ladies!
